Nasher
CALLING OUT TO THE WORLD OF ARAB PUBLISHERS
Nasher (meaning publishing) is a first of its kind website and professional portal for Arab publishers (nasher-news.com). It is a database of people, companies and publications and a communication space to share and learn. In connecting this world, it aims to encourage and proliferate.
Zaman were asked to create the core identity based on a short strategy workshop that emphasized Nasher’s role in providing structure for the industry and strengthening the role of its participants. The resultant logo mark and type are just that – elegant, strong and supportive. In part the mark is inspired by a stack of books using Kufi calligraphy. The orientation of the letters is creative. The accents are joined to reflect the connectivity. The type is simple and professional.
The colours and tones selected are vibrant and solid. The rich purple suggests the wealth of information and knowledge within the site and aqua blue and orange highlights express the dynamic, participatory nature of the content.
Zaman also created the online poster to communicate the sites launch and as such the template for the newsletter. Guidelines for the core identity elements and extended graphics systems were also provided to ensure the brand can continue to express itself consistently.
