Meemo
BUILDING A BRAND ONE PERFECT STITCH AT A TIME.
The kandura is a cultural gem. A common clothing worn across the GCC. They appear entirely uniform to the unknowing eye but, in reality, there are a multitude of differences that reflect the place they are being worn and the person wearing them.
Tailor’s shops have long been the places to take measurements and make decisions. However, with the age of the smartphone, social media and GPS the approach has been changing.
MEEMO is such an evolutionary change. Founded by Ahmed Al Kuttab, his idea has been to use technology to give his customers the freedom to design and piece together kanduras that are unique to them and to provide the ultimate convenience whilst delivering a tailored experience and quality. To get this story across Zaman initially put together a detailed brand story that profiled the customers and their needs and motivation for adopting this new brand and approach. We then brought this to life with an elegant and stylish identity system and logo mark.
The name MEEMO was literally born with Ahmed, his childhood nickname, it speaks of the very personal designs he wants his customers to create. Zaman then designed all the collaterals – from paperwork, boxes and packaging to labels, buttons and hangers – and provided the website brief and content in the brand’s Arabic and English tone of voice. Every point of contact, very carefully created. ‘Its all in the detail is at the heart of the customer experience – the decision making, the online ordering, the tailoring, the delivery, the product, packaging and communications all convey that commitment.
