A couple of days ago Nadia, a member of a creative design team, came across this interesting infograph on Facebook that illustrates the differences between the ‘thobe’ / ‘thawb‘ – the standard traditional Arab clothing for men. It is a tunic, generally long with long sleeves. The word ‘thobe’ itself is used specifically for this garment in Arab states of the Gulf. (Source: Wikipedia)
For expats that live in this part of the world, if ever you’ve found yourself trying to explain the differences between the Emirati thobe and a Bahraini to visting friends and family then this is definitely a handy guide to bookmark.
