We’re looking to hire a Senior Graphic Designer & a Digital Designer – applicants outside of the UAE are also welcome. 2012 has been an interesting medley of projects for Zaman. From environment design: 1) an exhibition stand for a leading Emirati real estate group to showcase its diverse portfolio at CityScape Abu Dhabi and 2) another for a global oil & gas solutions provider present at ADIPEC 2012, to the conceptualization & launch of a premium UAE mens’ traditional apparel brand, documenting the 50-year timeline of one of Dubai’s most respected family business conglomerates and refreshing the brand  of a 20th century art furniture gallery and defining the blueprint of its foray into the Middle East…to say that we have been busy would be an understatement. The momentum hasn’t slowed down.

2013 offers a lineup of equally exciting projects, which also presents an opportunity to expand team Zaman. We currently looking to fill the following positions:

Senior Creative Designer / Art Director (min 5yrs experience & for an immediate start)

SENIOR CREATIVE DESIGNER / ART DIRECTOR

Arabic talented designer with 5 years creative experience

We’re looking for a creative conceptual designer with proven experience in producing brand identity, corporate communications and marketing campaign work. The ideal candidate would have a degree in graphic design from a reputable university, a strong interest in photography, print and interactive media and an appreciation for Arabic culture. You must be passionate about building unforgettable brand stories. You will have worked across print and digital campaigns and have the ability to work on a project from concept to print.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills:

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is a must.
• Understand and express a brand’s character through visual media
• Possess strong visual sensibilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes.
• Strong point of view on creative ideas and ability to contribute conceptual thinking among team.
• Proficiency in written & spoken English and Arabic is a must.
• Have strong personal organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability & commitment to meet deadlines.

DIGITAL DESIGNER

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital designer to join our team. You must have at least 2-3 years creative experience and are passionate about designing rich interactive experiences for the web and other media. You are able to use your creative and graphic talents to great effect across different digital platforms. Whilst working closely with our Creative Head you will be required to use your initiative and ability to take ownership of projects.

You should have creative ability with some work experience in a creative agency setting. You will be relied upon to utilize your strong visual design skills and moderate understanding of UX/UI to create outstanding designs across multiple platforms.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe CS is a must; Knowledge of HTML, CMS, PHP and Flash are bonus.
• You must be able to come up with ideas, solve problems, sketch quickly and think on your feet.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative and interactive environment.
• You will have enough understanding of the technical possibilities and limitation of web & mobile applications to optimize the design, content and engagement of campaigns with our programming partners.
• Proficiency in English is a must. Arabic is not essential but a bonus
