QFIB, a new approach to banking, was born amidst the current global financial crisis. Derived from sound Islamic principles of sharing and integrity, its story capitalizes on the current economic state of affairs presenting a new and different approach to banking. Through sophisticated, personalized attention to detail, QFIB reached out to potential clients with VIP invitation cards personalized with gold leaf calligraphy and sealed with gold wax, and presented in a hand-stitched leather box.
Gift items reflected Islamic business history manuscripts that guided entrepreneurs to build their companies on Islamic principles.
A novel advertising campaign echoed its Islamic foundation and further reinforced the Bank’s unique approach to financial security. Daily newspapers were enveloped in a delicately ‘laced’ sleeve, shaped like a musharabiya. The message introduced QFIB as an entity that thinks and acts differently from its competitors to offer a refreshingly new perspective on financial investing.

An event staged at Doha’s I.M Pei Islamic Museum further reinforced the brand image. Lighting was choreographed to offer a layered effect reinforcing QFIB’s Islamic values of transparency and depth. Making guests and potential clients feel at one and in harmony with the space, dominated by Islamic architecture and design, was another critical component geared to reinforce the QFIB’s brand image.
